Sleepy Boy Technique (よいこ眠眠拳 Yoiko Minmin Ken[4]) is a technique used by Master Roshi.

Overview[]

The Sleepy Boy Technique is a hypnosis move used to put the opponent to sleep, by using hand motions and weird voice sounds.

Usage and Power[]

Jackie Chun used it to put Goku to sleep, though Goku awoke when Bulma shouted "Dinner Time!!!!" before the countdown was complete.

Video Game Appearances[]

The Sleepy Boy Technique was Master Roshi's throw in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it appears under the name Lullaby Punch and is one of the Super Skills the Future Warriorcan obtain via wishing for more super skills from Shenron.

In Dragon Ball Fusions, Lullaby Punch appears as a Special Move. There is also a stronger variation called Coma Punch.

In "Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle", Sleepy Boy Technique appears as Jackie Chun's Super Attack.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Lullaby Punch returns as a Super Skill that can be obtained by the Future Warrior.

Trivia[]

  • In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, when used by a Future Warrior with Male Voice Option 8 (which is actually the voice of Curtis Arnott/Takahata101, voice of TeamFourStar's Nappa from the Dragon Ball Z: Abridged online parody series) he will shout "Cat Loves Food! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!".[1] This also occurs with the 2nd Future Warrior in Xenoverse 2 when Male Voice Option 8 is selected (which is voiced once again by Curtis Arnott).[3]
  • The singing of Cat Loves Food as a lullaby for the Lullaby Punch is a reference to a cat food jingle done by Yamcha to make money in the Dragon Ball Z: Abridged series which is mentioned and featured during the show's parody of the Androids Saga.
