The Namekian language (ナメック語 'Namekku-go', lit. "Language of Namek") is a fictional language spoken by Namekians, individuals native to Planet Namek.
Overview[]
Though the Namekians are all able to speak the Common tongue when it is necessary to communicate with non-Namekians, they need to speak Namekian to have their wish granted by Porungawhen they gather the Namekian Dragon Balls. Only "Piccolo" and "Porunga" have been defined in the Dragon Ball manga; other words appear as filler material in episodes of Dragon Ball Z. In Dragon Ball, Piccolo and Kami speak the Namekian language to each other during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament; although their actual words are translated, Namekian letters appear on the screen.
Later, in a filler episode, when Goku and Chi-Chi discover a large rock which is actually a map of how to make the Bansho Fan, the instructions are written in similar letters.
Namekian Language is required to activate certain functions of the Nameless Namek's spaceship. Wishes to Porunga must be spoken in Namekian as Frieza's wish for immortality failed (this requirement is ignored in certain video game's what-if scenarios) while Dende's wish to transport everyone besides Frieza and Goku to Earth was as it had been spoken in Namekian, thus ironically Frieza could never have his wish granted by Porunga unless he learned Namekian or forced one of the Namekians to translate his wish which would have been unlikely. Presumably Namekian language acts as another safeguard to prevent the Namekian Dragon Balls from being misused, though evil Namekians who know the language could bypass it such as Lord Slug who sought to obtain immortality using the Namekian Dragon Balls in Xenoverse 2 as he may know the language like Piccolo and Kami did, making him one of the few villains potentially capable of making a wish to Porunga, so its not full proof. This is similar to Super Shenron who only grants wishes spoken in the Divine Language.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, an Earthling Time Patroller named Minot investigating the Guru's House Time Rift anomaly reveals he has been studying the Namekian language in conversion with the Future Warrior.
