Majin Trunks is one of Babidi's many failed attempts to rescue him from Hell. Majin Trunks was created when Babidi attempted to take control when the little boy was sleeping. Majin Trunks was extremely short and he died very quickly but could've lived longer and gotten extremely powerful if he hadn't transformed in front of his own father.

Babidi was growing tired of his many failures so he decided a much sneakier way of attacking his powerful victims. He targeted on Trunks next and he chose to strike at night, when the little boy was helpless. So he struck and was able to eject enourmous amounts of power into his victim, making him helplessly fall under his control. The young Majin shot up to the sky and proceeded to test his new abilities by tranforming into a Super Saiyan. But he then realized that his power had granted him the abilites to transform into a powerful SSJ 2. He thanked Babidi for this power and said he would free him as soon as he finished his destruction spree.
But his destruction plans were postponed because of his father's intervention, who tried to talk his son out of it on behalf of his own experience. But Trunks simply laughed and launched a Big Bang Attack to destroy the town. He foolishly thought that his Majin powers was stronger than one of the most powerful beings in the universe. As a result, Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan and caught the attack. He then charged more energy into it and fired it at Ultra Majin Trunks. The Saiyan was helplessly consumed and destroyed by the blast, restoring him to his original state. Back in Hell, Babidi roared in frustation.
