Videl (ビーデル, Bīderu) is the only Human daughter and second child of Mr. Satan and Miguel. She's also the younger sister of Jimmy. In keeping with the name puns of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, her name is an anagram of 'Devil'; since her father's original Japanese name is Mr. Satan (Hercule in edited dub and in Viz's censored manga, giving it the "A for all ages" label). She's Gohan's wife, and the mother of Pan. Also, she's the maternal aunt of Melissa and Tommy.

Videl's physique is delicate and slender, despite being a tough fighter features that make her attractive in the conventional sense. Videl is a beautiful, young child and young woman of very slim build and below average height with a slender frame yet athletic physique. She has light-blue eyes, pale skin complexion and straight black hair that has side bangs and five loose short strands over her forehead. Over the course of the series, Videl has had five different hairstyles:
- She originally had low pigtails that stop at her chest, while learning to fly from Gohan.
- In the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, her hair is flat and pixie cut short with cropped spiky style bangs.
- At the end of Dragon Ball Z, her hair in the sides reaching down to her style of a bob-length cut reaching her cheeks and has bangs to frame her face.
- In Dragon Ball Super, her hair reached down to her shoulders with a flat bang front over her forehead and red headband.
- In Dragon Ball GT, her hair grows long where it reaches her lower back and it is done in a low braided ponytail with a few strands hanging over her forehead and ears.
In her first appearances, Videl usually wears a long white shirt that went past her waist with tight black spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs, black fingerless gloves, purple socks, green shoes, and gold hair clips for her pigtails. In "Gohan's First Date", she wears a white T-shirt with purple sleeves, light blue short jeans, black fingerless gloves, purple socks, and green shoes. After she learned how to fly, she wears a white sleeveless loose shirt, a pink T-shirt, black spandex short shorts, black fingerless gloves, purple socks, and yellow boots. In the beginning in both "Gather for the Tournament" episode and Broly - Second Coming, she retains this outfit only her black spandex short shorts are replaced with a black capris pants and white boots with pink tips.
She does bore a strongly striking resemblance to her late biographical mother, Miguel.

However in the anime she briefly wears a white Gi with a black undershirt, black pants, black sash, dark blue socks and blue boots. After Videl was healed with a Senzu Bean—and for the majority of the Buu Saga—she wears white pants, a blue and orange "FIGHT" T-shirt with an orange long-sleeved shirt underneath (white in the original manga), orange shoes and retains her short hair.
During Broly - Second Coming, she wears a bright maroon dress with a green cloth wrapping around the waist, with a large hat and grey stockings.
In Fusion Reborn, she wears clothes similar to her Buu Saga outfit only with alternate colors.
In Wrath of the Dragon, she wears a yellow long-sleeved shirt and a white mini skirt that reached her upper thighs. The final attire she ever wore as a teen, before the 28th World Tournament, was a blue dress with a pink vest, blue thigh-high stockings, and pink loafers. She also wore this during the dance party that Bulma hosted to celebrate Majin Buu's defeat. At the end of the series, she wears a red dress with long-sleeved pink undershirt, and slippers at Gohan's house and at the 26th Martial Arts Tournament, she wears a red mini skirt, white short sleeve undershirt, red jacket, brown belt, and brown boots with her hair grown back.
Between the end of Dragon Ball Z to Dragon Ball GT, Videl's hair grows back to its length, reaching her hips and is done up in a long braid.
In Dragon Ball Super, Videl is first seen with her current chin-length hair with a red headband and has had it ever since. She originally sported a pink sweater-dress that reached her upper thighs, with a red stripe around the chest area, along with black tights and bright pink shoes with darker pink soles. For Bulma's party put the Battle of Gods Saga, she changed her style to a red dress with a devil face mark on the chest, black leggings and white boots. For the Resurrection F saga, she sports a plain red dress with her normal current hairstyle, black tights and white high heel shoes. Her design changed drastically from a meek child, and teenage tomboy style into a typical house-wife style, indicating how much Videl has mellowed out to becoming more domestic character than before.
In the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga, Videl wears an outfit similar to Android 18's first outfit; a light teal denim jacket and skirt with a yellow short sleeve undershirt, dark gray leggings with white folded sleeves at the edge, brown belt and her yellow boots from her second outfit. Later in the Baby saga, her outfit has been changed to a new color. both denim jacket and skirt are light blue with a pink short sleeve undershirt from her main.
In Vegeta Saga and Frieza Saga, Videl looks nothing like her father, which means she must have looked a lot like her late mother. Her child outfit attire is a purple long-sleeved shirt with the teddy face on the front, grey shorts, white socks, blue-and-white shoes, and purple bows tied in her hair for the pigtails of early Vegeta Saga, Namek Saga and Frieza Saga.
In Cell Saga, her preteen years of 10 years old and later she's turned 11 years old on her birthday on the most time during in the Cell Games Saga in three months later after the Cell Games, she's a little bit short height and has a small body than Gohan. On her 11th birthday party, later she's wore change into the white t-shirt, long-sleeve purple shirt underneath, black capris pants, pink bows for the pigtails, white socks and yellow shoes with black tips when she's following and sneak up to see Gohan with her older brother, Jimmy and Kayla fight Perfect Cell in the Cell Games to hide behind the rocks with her voice tape recorder without Cell noticed her in her hiding spot.
The gold hair pieces the same ones that Videl wears in her pigtails (before Majin Buu Saga beginning) actually belonged to her late mother, Miguel. As a young child, Videl was always fascinated by these gold hair pieces because to her they were beautiful, and she would always try to put them on to play pretend from her birthday. After Miguel passed away, it was revealed that Miguel wrapped them in a small gift-box on her birthday and her father was going to give them to Videl personally as a gift.
In Cell Games Saga, Videl had found her mother’s hair pieces again while cleaning out the house from her 11th birthday. Because she had long hair at the time, she wore them in low pigtails as a tribute to her mother. This shocked Hercule as his daughter now really resembled her mother a lot more.
In Xenoverse 2, Videl's Special Costume is a Swimsuit based on the Trendy Bikini which in her case consists of a pink bikini. The bikini top features a Turtle School kanji symbol 亀 (Kame lit. Turtle) on the top's left breast and she wears a frilled bikini bottoms. When wearing her swimsuit Videl sports her pigtail hairstyle.
Videl's character design is purportedly based off of "Fasha" (Vasha/Seripa), a female Saiyan from the Bardock special. The child and preteen version of herself in the manga and anime series during the Cell Saga she's did appears on the manga and anime series. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, her attitude was much more leveled off; her temperament from earlier episodes softened considerably.

Videl is a headstrong, independent, fierce, tough and tomboyish character, raised with fame all around her, she's feisty and stubborn, much like Chi-Chi, and Bulma's personality, who is happy and easy-going and is a Tsundere regarding her relationship with Gohan (the term Tsundere applies to a female character who is initially cold toward a male character, but who then eventually warms up to him). Videl is quite perceptive as she had doubts about her father's claims of defeating Cell and correctly deduced that Gohan was both the mysterious "Golden Fighter" and Great Saiyaman, as well as ultimately coming to suspect that Gohan was the boy who fought Cell Games and saved her life, her brother Jimmy and father from the wrath of evil Perfect Cell.
She's feisty and stubborn, much like Chi-Chi. Videl is quite perceptive as she had doubts about her father's claims of defeating Cell and correctly deduced that Gohan was both the mysterious "Golden Fighter" and Great Saiyaman, as well as ultimately coming to suspect that Gohan was the boy who fought Cell Games and saving her life. She was also crafty enough to get Gohan to accidentally reveal he was Great Saiyaman, which she uses to blackmail him. She is also a competitive fighter as she blackmailed Gohan in order to get him to enter the tournament as she wanted to fight him after seeing his abilities and deduced he was the son of the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament champion due to sharing the same surname, though she also demanded he teach her how to fly to ensure it would be a fair fight, which also shows she was not fooled by her father's claims that such techniques were simple tricks. After blackmailing Gohan to enter the tournament and teach her the flight technique (using ki energy to fly), she gradually starts to fall in love with him, for his kind and honest heart.
Despite her and Chi-Chi's similar personalities, she did not get along with Gohan's mother at first, which was made worse by Chi-Chi's assumption that Videl and Gohan were dating, to both her and Gohan's embarrassment and denial, though after spending time with him she started to take a liking to him and his family and friends. When Gohan suggests she cut her hair short, Videl blushes a bit, thinking Gohan prefers girls with short hair, but Gohan obliviously states that it's for practical reasons, since short hair would be better in a fight, she screams that her hair is her business and flies off, though she ultimately decides to follow his sound advice, much to Gohan's utter confusion. Due to being unaware of Goku's death, she mistakenly assumed that his father was estranged from his family until Gohan explained the fact that his father was dead and had returned to life for the tournament, which ironically was the result of her convincing Gohan to enter. Videl herself was understandably shocked by this and various other odd occurrences during the tournament, though she eventually became used to these things over the course of the Majin Buu conflict. After blackmailing Gohan to enter the tournament and teach her the levitation technique (using ki energy to fly), she gradually starts to fall in love with him, for his kind and honest heart. She later becomes the wife of Gohan and mother of Pan.
Videl enjoys Caesar salad and Okonomiyaki, a type of Japanese pancake. She is left-handed, as seen when she pitches a baseball, and writes with her left hand, however in Take Flight, Videl and in manga chapter 428, she holds chopsticks while eating rice with her right hand, so it seems she's ambidextrous.
Videl shares her frustrations over her father's arrogance and overprotective nature of her from boys to become stronger than him after the death of her loving mother to Gohan in the anime episode, whose mother, Chi-Chi, very overprotective of him to stopped him from fighting training with his father as a child and made him study for long periods of time. She later admits that she's falling in love with Gohan, as she sees him as a shy and strong person after he turns Super Saiyan 2 at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament.

In the anime parts of the Great Saiyaman Saga, she had an obsession to discover Gohan’s secret identity as the Great Saiyaman. The booklet for the Season 7 Funimation DVD Boxset says that she hates being outdone. This may imply that while she did fight crime in Satan City to protect the people, she also enjoyed the attention that she received and might have become jealous when Great Saiyaman first arrived. Her obsession to find out his secret identity is shown in Gohan Goes to High School, after Gohan as the Golden Warrior defeated the bank robbers, she claimed that someone was stealing her thunder. Also in Rescue Videl, when she saw him flying through the skies, she chased him recklessly through the streets of Satan City in her plane and didn’t help Gohan until after he got punched in the face by the Red Shark Gang to see how strong he was. Also in Blackmail, when Great Saiyaman was returning Chobi to his parents after he had been kidnapped by Mr. Musuka, she refused to listen to his side of the story and proceeded to fight him, and also mockingly laughed at him for his misfortune. But she finally listened to him when Chobi’s parents Toh Toh and Toh Toh's mate arrived upon hearing Chobi’s crying. Though she did briefly give in to her obsession when Gohan almost blurted out his name while he was trying to calm Toh Toh down.
She was a young child, that she was meek, soft and sweet child, but she's still a headstrong and tomboyish girl as the preteen of age 10 (before turning 11-years-old on her birthday after the Cell Games) the same age as Gohan as she's meeting Gohan as they were children at the Cell Games for the first time during in the Cell Saga in May 26 of Age 767; before the Majin Buu Saga after he's saved her life from evil Cell. When she's meet Perfect Cell for the first time after he's found her from her hiding spot behind Gohan and Kayla, she was too scared of him after she's finally learned the truth about Cell from both Jimmy and Kayla. But she's been being hurt and insulated by Cell called her a "Poor Orphan" in front of her father brother and his students which made her fears and cries in tears real; her brother, Jimmy was too friendly and sensitive boy being insulated by Cell too, and Z Fighters and fearful watch Perfect Cell to beating, abuse and tortured Kayla in front of her family and everybody. Jimmy told Cell to leave her and their father alone where he's protecting them and force to watch Cell Juniors torture beating her brother near death next to Krillin on the ground that she was too scared of Cell.
She felt too scared of Perfect Cell, because he's the arrogant, pure evil, cold-hearted, cunning and ruthless villain to terrorize the world and destroy the entire Universe like Frieza did. By listening to Gohan's background story, she feeling to realize that he's just more like her as she have the same background as his past and seeing Cell's true evil nature. Videl got scared of Cell, she's thinking that he's staring at her and he is going to kill her with Frieza's Death Beam technique at her in front of Gohan with tears and fears and saw Gohan's hidden powers that he going to Super Saiyan 2. Gohan felt similar to her since he's having a relationship with his mother is overprotective nature of him and loss of his father twice. She's was getting too uncomfortable with her father's overprotective nature of her from the teenage boys and her older brother tried to protect her from real danger situations like Cell.
When Gohan was standing up for her and refused to let them insult her, her father and brother; with mean nicknames and came to her defense from Cell and Cell Juniors tries to kill them by saving their lives. She's decided to adopting Gohan's nature of not giving up and keep be stronger enough to protect her friends and family on Earth. She's begun to falling in love with Gohan from the beginning as they were children by saving her life and save the world. She also learns truth about that Gohan is truly defeated Cell from seven years ago before Trunks, Goten and Melissa were born, not her father and her big brother was speaking the truth about other villains, Frieza and Cell's true evil natures from brother's past with Z Fighters. She somehow knew her father was lying about defeating Perfect Cell and took the credit of Gohan's defeated Cell. She's also forgive her older brother for not to telling her truth about his past as a Z-Fighter and Kayla's entire family for everything.
As Gohan's wife, she is very caring and motherly to everyone. She has a calmer tone to her voice and no longer has a rough, fiery vibe anymore. She also proves to have extreme faith in Gohan, such as when Barry Kahn showed her pictures of Gohan being kissed by Cocoa Amaguri and pretended to console her, Videl lashed out at him, saying that Barry was pathetic, and stating that Gohan must've had a reason to do what he did. Later, after Gohan defeats the infected Barry Khan, Videl hugs Gohan and exclaims that she loved him. This also shows that she knows her husband's character well enough to know he would never cheat on her and it is implied that she was able to see right through Barry Kahn's consoling act (she likely realized the movie star was just "acting" concerned) which is likely another example of her intelligence (she is also likely not easily fooled give she has a father who well known as a gifted liar capable of deceiving a large number of Earth's population, presumably having learned to see through such deception).
She's like to teasing and laughing with her older brother, Jimmy, about his sweetheart relationship with his autistic girlfriend, Kayla, during they were younger and grew into the sweet couples. She's adored her big brother to take care of her to teach her in martial arts at home together and listen her brother's adventure stories and Z Fighters. She was too scared of see her brother get beaten by Cell Juniors were order by Cell in front of her and Gohan. She's finally learning the whole truth about his childhood and past as a Z Fighter with his friends including Gohan, but she's forgiving him everything and thank him for telling her the truth. She fancies herself a hero of justice in Satan City, and works of her own accord with the police force to take down criminals, showing an intolerance to crime and corruption. Selflessly enough to place herself into danger, even though it doesn't involve her, the woman was well acclimated to the status of "celebrity", and earned the respect of the people who knew her and her father.
In the anime episodes, Empty Planet and Time Struggle of the Fusion Saga, Videl says in big bad mouth at Super Buu for to wait an one hour, then Piccolo told him that she's Mr. Satan's daughter from prevent him try to kill her and Super Buu sense her scent and her older brother too like her father. She asks Piccolo about Super Buu know her father, Piccolo explained to her shockingly understand about her father has successfully changed Buu's error ways and make a best friendship before he's transforming into evil super form but he's still has memories that a man have kind heart to a monster.
In her free time and even during school, she uses her combat skills to fight crime, which gives her a very good reputation among the people and enjoys a high level of popularity. She is certainly one of the strongest fighters outside Son Goku's circle and friends. She will slowly fall in love with Son Gohan, even more when she learns that he is the real savior who eliminated Cell and save her life.

Kid Videl in the early appears in Vegeta Saga and Frieza Saga of Dragon Ball Z series
Videl was born in July 14 of Age 757. She grew up learning martial arts, hoping to be as great as her father, when in fact, unknown to herself, she was already better and stronger than him. On May 7 of Age 767, when she was 10, before she's turned 11 from her birthday after the Cell Games, she was 11 in the manga, Videl won in the Junior Division of the 24th World Martial Arts Tournament and become the member of the rich family after the Cell Games. Her mother left Mr. Satan and their son Jimmy and daughter Videl at one point, leaving only the three of them in their family. But they have got loads of servants. Her father is very protective of her, especially in respect to boys, only allowing her to have a boyfriend if he was stronger than him, which Videl thought was impossible (until Gohan came along as he's grew up as 17-years-old high school teenager after Cell died from 7 years ago and meets his family and friends in Majin Buu Saga) and she misses her mother a lot, who's died and passed away at the heart virus illness disease after she gives birth to her, since she was still a baby; (she and her older brother raised by their father in her whole life until she reach her teen years). It is unknown where or who her mother is, although Videl does mention her during one episode saying her mother is "gone" (in the English manga, Videl stated that her mother had died).
She does want to following her brother's steps as the powerful fighter and martial artist as she's adored her big brother take care of her a lot at home, she does respect for him of being his baby sister as he's truly caring about her like their late mother did, she's always following him everywhere, and seeing him to meets the Z Fighters were his friends in his years after their mother died. She's also have the good friendship with Kayla, who's bears a striking resemblance to her as a twin friend and have a disability: Autism most of her life; but she has the straight rectangle blunt bangs front as she's looks like her ancestor is that she's the reincarnated princess Kaylah Spencer, because she's married to her older brother and she's a loving mother of her children a lot.
Jimmy was teaching his sister in martial arts, to control the energy by using ability to fly, fire Ki energy blasts, fighting skills what Videl watch and participate of learn Kayla's physical fighting skill moves, afterimage technique and afterimage strike in battlefields by learning about his adventures and saving the world with his friends over the years from evil forces and destruction.

Videl as a 10-year-old came to the Cell Games to watch Gohan, Jimmy and Kayla fighting Perfect Cell
When ten days later on the Cell Games Arena arrived, Videl is now ten years old preteen, that she's tried to begging and pleasing her father several times at their home about having accompany with him by going to the Cell Games Tournament Area with him and her big brother to see fight Perfect Cell, then he's just said "No.", she sadly went to her bedroom, gets frustrated and looked out of her bedroom window, she saw her older brother, Jimmy flying away along with Z Fighters and Kayla in their high-speed flight over to the Cell Games past her house. Videl was still determined to her father and brother fight the evil Cell, either with his approval or not just like her older brother wants to pleased him since he was younger in his childhood to make the great adventures with Z Fighters as he's secretly turns grows much stronger into the super-human and high-speed flight with Potential Unleashed form like Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin did as he's already become the member of the Z Fighters as the Earth's Special Forces now since his childhood past.
She's begin to packing her packing binoculars, and listening device: voice tape recorder in her backpack, get ready to sneaking out of her bedroom and went outside of the house, that time, it's her father was opened and closed doors in his limo vehicle car to get ready go to the Cell Games, Videl's trained eyes spotted the small jet helicopter next of her father's car was lazily left open and talked Jimmy on the cellphone in their conversations. With her near super-human speed, high jumping, agility and a small body, Videl was able to reach the jet helicopter undetected, Mr. Satan was too busy being full of himself to notice about his daughter sneaking into the small jet helicopter ted off the ground and ready to fly by following her father at the Cell Games, when she's arrived to see the view of the ring above Perfect Cell standing it to fight Goku and Z Fighters as the Gold Fighters and successfully manages to land it just outside of the Cell Games ring next to the mountain.
Videl just slipped out of jet helicopter, and quickly ran to a good hiding place behind some nearby rocks mountain before anybody could see her. Fortunately for Videl, the announcer, Jimmy Firecracker, Miss Piiza and his cameraman on a nearby ridge rocks were too busy focusing on her father's students (Lionel, Caroni and Pirozhki), her big brother, Z Fighters and Cell so they didn't notice or see her hiding. Even Cell was also too busy to pay attention himself and Z Fighters on the tournament ring to get ready to fighting him. Jimmy can see her and using his telepathy to told her to hide in the rocks go take cover safety as he's keeping Cell busy all day enough for her to be hidden and escape. She's understandably heard him, and stay hidden behind the rocks to watch. Thought Videl as she's regained her composure and focus on them until she's find out about Perfect Cell was bio-engendered Android created and respond in Dr. Gero's computer to absorb Android 17 and Android 18 to reach his perfect form to destroy Earth and the entire Universe by Dr. Gero and learning from him to her father a real truth and Cell was deeply abusive towards her older brother, Jimmy, Zesmond and Kayla. She then went back to observing what was happening inside the ring. Videl couldn't believe what she had just seen happen within the last thirty minutes. Although she had agreed with Krillin's remark when he said, "Must be national goofball day.", then her father's two top students arrived. She still couldn't believe it, they were so easily defeated by Cell on the ring and Cell was too much stronger for them. Sure they were imbecilic and annoying, but they were good fighters. Videl had expected them to lose, but not like that. But the real shocker came step onto the the ring, when her father came up and fought with Cell.

They all seemed to look strange enough to how get to they'd meet her big brother since he was a young kid, go adventures, save the world, galaxies and universe, fighting villains, destruction and joining them as the Earth's Special Forces from the beginning as he's did meet and fought evil villains include like Raditz, Nappa, Zarbon, Dodoria, the Ginyu Force, Frieza, Cooler, Garlic. Jr, Spice Boys, Broly, Super Android 13, and Bojack by reading her brother's journal under the pillow or watching videotapes on TV in his bedroom to learn the truth for herself everything about to find out, she can see her big brother and Kayla are joined with them by side with the Z Fighters and Goku was the leader of Z Fighters and have a son next to him, Piccolo, Zesmond, Jimmy, Kayla and the others, but then, the one of them in particular caught her eye for the first time.

Her father attacked Cell like she'd never seen do before, but none of it seemed to be effective. In fact, it looked like Cell hadn't even felt his punches like nothing and no effective on him. Then Cell simply swatted her father away like a common house fly into the mountain, hit his head and the boy will average her father, her older brother and herself. She knew her father's strength almost as well as he did himself and knew that's a little slip that couldn't possibly have thrown him off like he was. It wasn't until she started to watching Goku and Cell fight that she begins to understand they've defeated, learning about Kayla's parents (Shaun and Danielle) were both still there with them in the tournament start, Zesmond defends his little baby sister and friends' honors and share similar personalities and background with Gohan.
As the battle between Goku and Cell power up and fight continued to intensify, the more and more techniques and abilities of others include Frieza and his father, Videl became convinced that is what she was witnessing wasn't an optical illusions or tricks as her father was so vehemently claiming. The force of the blast damaged Videl's listening device, so now she would have to get closer in order to hear any of the Z Fighters conversations. She's horrified witnessing Cell is regeneration himself with Piccolo's cells after Goku blast him with the Instant Kamehameha wave at him and watching Goku and Cell continue fighting each other.
Videl needed to get closer so that, whenever there was a lull in the fighting, Videl would sneak up to a much closer vantage point and survived. She was about 70 yards off when Goku finally gave up and he's choose his son to joining side with Jimmy and Kayla fighting Perfect Cell. Videl couldn't believe what she was seeing is the young boy named Gohan (Videl had overheard Z Fighters, Shaun, Danielle, Zesmond, her brother and Kayla heard them refer to him by his name and also he's best friend of her older brother and Kayla) was actually fighting Cell and holding his own with Jimmy and Kayla as his teammates and back up to care and help each other. She could tell by the way that he was dodging and he was somehow holding back of his hidden powers. She's also watch Kayla's physical rush attacks, agility, fast reflexes, special blocking abilities and powering up to against Cell with hand-to-hand combat battle in the desert floor, but she's hardly watching her getting severe beaten and tortured by him.
Unfortunately for Videl, one of Cell's blast attacks that Gohan dodged hit too close to her position and shockwave fried her listening device. Now Videl had to get even closer to the action if she was to hear anything that she's being to listen Gohan's background story to Cell about his past: in once he was become enrage with hidden powers, he was attacking Raditz with his potentiality hidden powers, training with Piccolo, and fighting the Ginyu Force, Garlic, Jr. and Frieza from his childhood, when she's realizing that he's related to and just like her which she's now understands that she feels what she has the same past as Gohan, her mother died at the heart disease illness when she was a small baby and not strong enough to close like both her father and brother did, that her big brother is already the strongest super-human now like Z Fighters were his true friends. She's seeing Perfect Cell stepped and crushed on Gohan's head to forcefully make him angry to see his hidden powers, he's stepping on Jimmy's back and strangled Kayla in his arm, then later, Cell continue punching Gohan and Gohan jump to dodge his attack. She watches Gohan power up in air, kick Cell in the lip with breed, confront Cell and dodge all of Cell using Frieza's Death Beams.
When Gohan was being viciously bear hugged by Perfect Cell, Videl managed to get behind some rocks where two fighters were. Videl winced as she heard the boy's screams, it's just hurt to listen, he's dropped Gohan laying on the ground, witness Cell beat her older brother painful in stomach, then he's tossed him there next to Goku and other Z Fighters right on the cliff, stealing the Senzu Beans from Krillin, he's about going to kill Kayla with Frieza's Death Beam pointing at her, her older brother, Zesmond almost injured and wounded on the left shoulder, but stills alive for her by push her to another side, Danielle heals him with her healing powers, but Cell had held her his hostage, he's begins to brutally beaten Kayla up into severely injures, crushing her head to make her scream and cries with tears as he's continued to torture her in front of Gohan and everyone as he's knocked both her and her mother unconscious laying on the ground each other and kick Gohan to the wall.
When things start to get dangerous, Android 16 sneaks up behind Perfect Cell and gives him a bear hug, attempting to self-destruct and take the monster with him. However, she's staying hidden behind Gohan in the rocks by listening Krillin reveals to Android 16 that Bulma and her father removed the self-destruct bomb, allowing Perfect Cell to break free and blast Android 16 to bits, much to the horror of the Z Fighters, Gohan, Videl, Jimmy, Shaun and Kayla. However, the android's head is left still intact and rolls over to Mr. Satan and his gang, who were hiding and watching the fight. As she's watching between Gohan, Jimmy, Kayla and Cell throughout the battlefield, and she's felt horrific on the death of Android 16 by Cell for the first time in her life being felt too real.
Perfect Cell then creates eight blue-skinned Cell Juniors and has them to attack Z Fighters include Jimmy on the cliff. Gohan watches in horror and becomes angry as his friends and father are mercilessly beaten by the Cell Jrs, see both her older brother Jimmy, Shaun and Zesmond to helping Z Fighters to protect Goku from them, continue attack others and Cell order his Cell Juniors to kill them all. She's watched her older brother gets painfully beaten near death along with Krillin on the ground by other two Cell Juniors, beating on the exhausted Shaun on the ground; knocking Zesmond unconscious laying on the ground next to their mother and see Kayla was still unconscious on the ground after Cell give a brutal beatings on her. Videl quietly carefully gets head down to behind the rocks below closely Gohan and Kayla is, but Cell heard the noise to pay attention to Gohan and Kayla, heard someone hiding somewhere in the large rocks and Videl was too scared that Cell might to see her in a large rock hidden spot. Videl gets her head down below the nearby rocks behind Gohan and Kayla. Cell noticed a glimpse of a little head with black hair in low pigtails close resembles Kayla, in fact, until he's sensed her scent and finds out that she was Jimmy's younger sister and Mr. Satan's daughter that quickly away hid in the large rocks behind Gohan and Kayla were.

Videl is saved by Gohan from the wrath of Perfect Cell and Cell Juniors
Cell smirked laugh before finding Videl from Gohan and Kayla, "And now who do we have here?" Cell walking over to Videl's hiding spot behind Gohan and Kayla for spies on them a whole time and destroy the small jet helicopter with his powerful blast into a many pieces near the mountains to prevent her escape from the Cell Games Arena. When she's felt something poking her in her back, and when she turned around right behind her was the one of ugly blue monsters (Cell Juniors) looking at her in hiding spot from watching the fights, and she dropped into her fighting stance; mimicking her father told her to running away far from him as fast as she can, but eventually she can't outrun them from this tournament, Cell Junior grabs her right arm and threw her over into the ground from her hiding spot and into clear view of Gohan and others, in the front of Perfect Cell in person at her first time as she was too scared of her life had encountered to face-to-face with him in person.
Perfect Cell grabbed the hiding Videl by the back of her shirt and then he retracted his arm while still holding her. As, he's see the exhausted Kayla was still alive softly moaning after spitting blood from her mouth to begin get up to tell him to let her go or fight with him again, walking towards Cell to charge at him with her Kamehameha wave to struggle to hit him and missed him then he's blocked her attack, but she's gets too weaker, drained and exhausted to fight him from her injuries, so he's kick her so hard across the ground besides the large rocks and falling unconscious again to next to her big brother and mother.
Videl continued to kicks and punches Cell's arm to no effect while she screamed and cried constantly for him to please let her go. Gohan was seriously shocked by girl's beautiful sudden appearance in his eyes as a most beautiful girl with beautifully light-blue eyes.

Then, Gohan's horrors, she's seen her older brother getting beaten and torture badly lying on the ground by Cell Juniors to make him a blood coughs spits out hard enough to make him too weak and taunting him with mocking tone and words at him for being too kindhearted and friendly boy, Cell cocked back his other arm in preparation for a fatal palm strike at the girl.
"Wait! Don't do it, Cell! She's just a innocent girl, she's got nothing to do with all this! — Gohan screamed begged Cell not to hurt Videl.
"Yes Gohan, just another so-called a innocent girl. But if her death is what sets you off, she's the one who's sneaking around here for the first place, watching us fighting each other along and end up to distracted me from unleashed your hidden powers in the real threats, but expect, it won't be next time. After all, she's Jimmy's baby sister and Mr. Satan's daughter, it's a shame that I will kill her for real and after Jimmy got beaten up, she's next, then you can just blame yourself for being so stubborn like Kayla from the beginning! — Cell threats to hurt Videl for real to see Gohan's hidden powers.
Videl stopped flailing around after she heard what Cell was planning to do to her in real dangerous threats. Videl was now too scared, afraid and paralysed with fear as as she's knew now what was coming, she's feeling so guilty and remorse to see the unconscious Kayla like this, Jimmy told her to stay home, but she wasn't listening to them and so tears started welling up in her eyes filled with fear.
Videl saw Gohan goes to Super Saiyan 2 for the first time in the anime episode Cell Juniors Attack!
Videl does finally understands that she seeing the real truth about Cell was a very cold-hearted, arrogant, manipulative, selfish, cruel, ruthless, cunning and pure evil villain like Frieza did to destroy the entire universe, that he's one who almost killed Shaun and Danielle right here after he's get his revenge against him from ten years ago, watch Cell almost had killed Zesmond after he's sacrificed himself to protect Kaylah from death, but he's still alive, painful from his injuries and unconscious laying on the ground alongside with his baby sister and mother who's healing both with her healing powers.
When she's fears that she begins to felt realized that Jimmy and Kayla was right along about Cell's true evil nature, when she will get her turn, and ended up just like her big brother on the ground. Gohan couldn't look as Cell hold the captive young Videl thrust in his arm for fatal shot and watching his best friend beaten by Cell Juniors with next to Krillin, but he was stopped midway by an unexpected arrival. The disembodied head of Android 16 rolled around to where his face at Gohan. He had been thrown by Mr. Satan, who shut his eyes, cowardly took cover behind some rocks having not noticed see his injured son got almost beaten nearby death by Cell Jrs next to Krillin on the ground and his daughter being captive held as his hostage in Perfect Cell's arms because he was so scared to help them and Cell is going to kill him well.
Cell threw her to the ground in between Gohan and the head before walking to selfless Android. "Uug....This sentimental downpour is killing me. It's so nice help 16, but I plan doing this my way." — Cell crushed the peaceful Android's face. "Nobody asked you, you factory reject.", said Cell, mocking Gohan and the peaceful Android's brave sacrifice. Videl crying scared and pleased Jimmy to get up and begging Kayla to save her. Cell turns around looking at her and pointed his finger at Videl as he's preparing to kill her with Frieza's Death Beam attack in front of Gohan. "You're next, little girl! Just like your big brother, Videl." — Cell with an evil smirk on his face and evil laughter, she fearfully crawling backward with screams and cry with real tears in her life. It was sent beyond the breaking point by Cell threatening to kill an innocent girl in front of him, Jimmy gets severe beaten badly and Android 16's death. Then Videl looked up at savior with a look of awe as tears from her eyes were swept away by the high winds and Gohan transforms into the Super Saiyan 2 in front of her, Z Fighters, Piccolo, Goku, Jimmy, Zesmond, Shaun, Danielle, Cell and then Cell Jr grabbed her behind drag away next to the another Cell Junior with Krillin and Jimmy were, Gohan take Senzu Beans from Cell, he's moves so fast that it appears that he has teleported to where Krillin, Jimmy and Videl is held captive by two of the Cell Jrs., something that Future Trunks realizes about Gohan increasing his strength and power without losing speed. Gohan killed two Cell Juniors with powerful two blasts.
Gohan rescues Krillin and Videl, then Jimmy ran towards an unconscious injury Kayla, gave them Senzu Beans and kills another of the Cell Jrs. Cell order his Cell Juniors to kill Videl, her brother and father, and Gohan was risking his life to save them from Cell and Cell Juniors blowing them away by using Super Explosive Wave Kiai. Seeing this new incredible power that Goku spoke of earlier, Perfect Cell orders all of the Cell Jrs to take on Gohan all at once; however, Gohan easily kills all of Cell Jrs. Without mercy, much to the amazement and shock of everyone, including Perfect Cell. After Gohan gives the stolen Senzu Beans to Future Trunks to heal the Z Fighters, he proceeds to challenge Perfect Cell. Videl ran into the mountain to hide from Cell and watch them fighting each other in combats. Meanwhile, Videl stood around and witnessed the whole battle between Gohan and Cell, see Cell throwing up to Android 18 out from inside of him, turned him back into his second form again and tried to blow the Earth by blow himself up like a balloon.
When the boy's father Goku vanished with Cell, Shaun, Danielle and Zesmond of Instant Transmission and saw Gohan's tears on the ground to tries call his father. Videl merely stood there in the middle of the wasteland battlefield with tears down her cheeks as she cried out for Gohan's loss.
Back on Earth, Gohan and the other Z Fighters mourn Goku's noble sacrifice and the deaths of Shaun, Danielle and Zesmond. Realizing how cocky and arrogant he was, Gohan cries and blames himself for his father's death like Shaun, Danielle and Zesmond did while Krillin and then Videl tries to comfort him in her arms with tears and Jimmy carried the injury unconscious Kayla in his arms. Videl nicely to comfort him to have forgiveness for his father, everything to making mistakes and gain his confidence back to average his father's death and defeat Cell.
However, unknown to the Z Fighters, Cell survives the explosion, regenerating from a lone cell in his core. Doing this effectively raised his power higher due to the Saiyan genes he absorbed from Goku, Shaun and Vegeta, and he also learned Goku's Instant Transmission technique, which he used to head back to Earth. As his first act of return, Super Perfect Cell kills Future Trunks with one blast in front of the shocked Z Fighters. Gohan was in fact pleased to see Super Perfect Cell had returned, hoping to defeat the android so he could avenge his father, helping Kayla to average her parents and big brother whose has died trying to protect her. Enraged by his son's death, Vegeta in a fit of fury and rage, transformed into to a Super Saiyan and attacked Super Perfect Cell with a powerful barrage of energy blasts. However, as the dust clears, Super Perfect Cell emerges from the blast, unharmed, and smacks Vegeta aside to the ground and fires a powerful blast at the Saiyan prince. Gohan jumps in front of the unconscious Vegeta and takes the full-force of Super Perfect Cell's attack, costing him the use of his left arm and most of his power drained.
Gohan proceeded to wimpingly painful walk towards Cell, when Cell said, "Coward. Maybe if I will kill your sweet Videl! If I am going to die, then I am going to take your precious girlfriend with me!" Before Gohan could do anything to him, Cell flying over towards them and grabbed Videl from behind and restrained her in his grips, she's screams said, "Let me go!", and said to Gohan, "Well, aren't you gonna do anything or should I kill her? Maybe I'll absorb her in front of you, Jimmy and her father...She smells delicious." Cell said Gohan he's sniffing Videl. Kayla was able distracted Cell at bay with abilities long enough to Gohan going to saved her.
Gohan appears behind Cell, he's kicks Cell in the face, in time he need to rescue Videl from Super Perfect Cell. Gohan ran away to the other side of the platform, holding Videl in one arm, flying away from him, and tell her run to her father behind the rocks.

Videl had watched to whole event unfold in front of her, while remaining safe behind some rock and distance to the side of Gohan, Vegeta distracted Cell for long enough Gohan and his father Goku used their charge energy combination Kamehameha waves to destroy Cell. She saw the whole thing and for a few movements, she thought that she saw the spirit of the boy's father, Goku supporting his Kamehameha attack from beyond the grave. After Gohan fell from the air, Videl ran over to his side, so she could find out if he was okay or not. What she found surprised herself, when she saw that the earlier blond boy now had change back to spiky black hair and he was actually laughing. Videl next to him at first, falling collapse into her arms and hold him in her arms.

Gohan was surprised to see the young girl that he's the one who rescued her from the wrath of Cell and Cell Juniors earlier was kneeling next to him. Videl was left staring into the sky after her older brother flew away along with the injured Kayla and the other Z Fighters flew off for Kami's Lookout. She was left to think about let the day's events and world know about the young boy who had saved her and the Earth from Cell. Videl couldn't believe it, but it was still true. Her father has just taken credit for something that he's didn't do that, seeing her big brother, Jimmy became upset to ran into his room after he's came home arrived from the Lookout after deaths of their mother, Goku, Shaun, Danielle and Zesmond, and had gotten away with it. Videl had decided to stay and reflect be able to thank him personally for saving her life.
Birth of Melissa[]
Kayla was going to visiting Mr. Satan, Jimmy and Videl in their new home with rich and wealthy family: mansion, that she's becoming a mother of their newborn daughter about being born in a one year after she's revealed to them about her pregnancy at a young age since the day on Cell's defeat and then, she's giving up as famous celebrity crime fighter status have passed to Videl to make her happy, and will seeing her again until seven years later.

Memories of her own mother Miguel died at the heart virus from 10 years ago on the day of her birth, feeling her older brother misses their mother so much and he's have a sweet relationship with Kayla, who find out that she's became pregnant at the young age of turning 11-year-old in one year before Melissa was born after the Cell Games, followed her mind and all she wanted to do was to comfort him in his time of need to see his beloved father's grave. Videl began to slowly walk to where Gohan was crying after the spirit of his father Goku along with Shaun, Danielle and Zesmond in the Other World to defeat past villains and Future Trunks went left back to his timeline to defeat the Future Android 17, Future Android 18 and Future Cell.
Videl began to comforting Gohan after the Cell Games
It wasn't until she was a few 10 feet away from him since the Cell Games as did Gohan finally notice her. He looked up at Videl with eyes full of tears, he saw that her beautiful light-blue eyes were glittering with sympathy and care. Gohan didn't know who was she or why she might be there, all he saw a person's shoulder to cry on. Gohan lunged at her and hugged her while he cried on her shoulder. Videl was surprised and stunned at this action at first, but she soon found herself patting him on the back to comfort him and told him that she's very sorry for what his uncle Raditz, Frieza, Cell and other villains has awful done to him, his friends and father on his childhood when she has been listening his story to Cell.
After a half-hour of crying and comforting who's appears right to behind him, Gohan finally let go and regained his composure. "Thanks for the shoulder, make me to never give up for losing hope, overcome my fears and never let them down and build my confidence back to defeat Cell, thank you so much as a true friend." — Gohan jokingly meet Videl for comfort him after the Cell Games.

It was that Gohan recognized her from earlier at the Cell Games and early Vegeta Saga as a little girl. The same girl sneaking around the first time appears at the Cell Games Arena from a couple weeks ago and woke up into her arms with same beautiful light blue eyes and bright smile after defeat evil Perfect Cell. "Hey! Gohan waved goodbye as he flew off in midair while Videl signaled for a transport to come pick her up. As both of them headed to their respective homes, they each felt better knowing that made a new friend out of the beginning beautiful friendship. Videl is going to be aunt for the newborn niece, Melissa in one year later, Jimmy is the father, and Kayla is a mother. Videl secretly falling in love with Gohan for the first time until she will see him again seven years later as high school teenagers begin on the Majin Buu Saga.
Three months later after the Cell Games, Videl is just turned 11-year-old from her birthday with her friends and family at their new home; Videl was always fascinated by these hair pieces because to her they were beautiful, and she would always try to put them on to play pretend in the small gift-box from her late mother, Miguel, reading her mother's birthday message card from her mother and won in the Junior Division of the 24th World Martial Arts Tournament. Her father revealed to her and her older brother that gold hair clips the memories were belong to late her mother, Miguel, that their mother loved them, apologize to them not telling the truth about their mother died from the beginning since they were babies and Miguel truly died.
Meeting The Great Saiyaman[]

In her spare time seven years later as a teenager at age seventeen as the same age as Gohan, Videl helps the police and fights crime in Satan City after Kayla retired from her crime fighter status. She becomes suspicious of Gohan after meeting him on his first day at Orange Star High School, and she even follows him for a brief time to learn more about him, but she's still remember him from 7 years ago that they were children at the Cell Games. Videl eventually discovers Gohan’s secret identity as the Great Saiyaman: in the manga, she very easily tricks Gohan into revealing his identity after stopping some thugs (she asks the Great Saiyaman how he left class, and he answers her, revealing that he is actually Gohan), in the anime, she discovers that Gohan is the Great Saiyaman after she and Gohan are involved in an attempt to return Chobi, a baby pteranodon, to its rightful parents. In both cases, she gets him to teach her how to fly using a blackmail-type of threat. In a matter of days, Videl learns how to fly, introduced her six-year-old niece, Melissa to Gohan and Goten in flying training and starts to develop a liking for Gohan.
She even cuts her hair one day after he had suggested it (though she initially thought he just liked girls with short hair, he explained that long hair will only get in the way during a fight). There is an awkward moment when Chi-Chi asks Gohan whether he is going to marry Videl, which embarrasses him. Also, when she becomes a great flyer, Gohan thinks that Videl is really something special. Despite the relentless teasing from friends (such as Krillin), Videl and Gohan develop a sweet kind of relationship.

The World Tournament[]

Videl becomes very strong for a human, and enters the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. When Videl firsts meets Goku and the other Z Fighters, Gohan explains that his father is dead as he has a halo above his head. Videl looks shocked, and then says she needs to lay down. After waiting with Gohan for the Punching Machine destroyed by Vegeta to be replaced, Videl and the other fighters who scored the highest draw their numbers for the first round. Videl goes up against Spopovich. Videl quickly gains the upper hand, even breaking Spopovich's neck, though he repairs it, shocking Videl and everyone else watching the match. Soon, the tables turn against her as Spopovich keeps getting back up after her attacks, without any visible damage. Videl then attempted to fly to the skies to recover, but to her horror, Spopovich could also fly and even use Kiai to strike her back down.

Videl starts to tire out, and Spopovich takes advantage by beating her to a pulp around the ring with a series of punches to the stomach and head. For his enjoyment, Spopovich steps on Videl's head. He pushes down on it until Videl is brought to tears (this fight was more drawn out and gruesome in the anime compared to the manga). Enraged by the sounds of Videl's moans and squeals, Gohan starts to lose control and go into a fury. He is rushing to save her when Yamu tells Spopovich to end the match, as they need to do their job. Spopovich does so and kicks her out of the ring. Gohan carries her to the infirmary, where he returns later to heal her with a Senzu Bean brought by Goku. She thanks Gohan for it, though Mr. Satan freaks out, suspicious of the boy, insisting she be checked up for poisoning.

She steps back to the arena to watch Gohan's match, and is surprised to see he is indeed the "Gold Fighter" she suspected him to be. When she sees Gohan in mortal danger from a ki drain from Yamu and Spopovich, she tries to save him from an opponent she has no chance of beating, and is stopped only by being physically restrained by Goku. Upon Kibito healing and offering Gohan an explanation, Videl asks Gohan to let her go along, wanting to know what exactly is going on. She readily believes Gohan after he confesses he was both the mysterious Gold Fighter who appeared before the Great Saiyaman and also the golden-haired 11-years-old boy at the Cell Games seven years ago, and, having suspected that her father was not telling the truth, Jimmy truly caring about her safety to protect her from learning his mistakes and show her the truth about past villains and Cell's true evil colors, comes to the conclusion that Gohan beat Super Perfect Cell, Gohan was saved her life from the wrath of Cell and she's did meet Gohan when they were children at the Cell Games. She initially wants to come and help with the fight, but realizes that the enemy is beyond her league decides to turn back, stating "You better come back, cause I'm not finished with you yet, Gohan" (In Kai, she says that she'll miss him). She meets Goten, Melissa and Trunks on her way to the World Tournament Arena, and accidentally fuels them with adrenaline by telling them the story of Majin Buu, prompting the three to head for the battlefield.

Videl goes with the group to look for the Dragon Balls. She later takes refuge with the group on Kami's lookout where hearing about Gohan's supposed death at the hands of Majin Buu, she breaks down crying and confesses her love for him, hearing Shaun and Danielle's cry about her daughter, Zesmond felt guilty about his younger sister gets hurt and see her big brother, Jimmy, gets upset about Kayla's supposed death and her niece, Melissa was safety and okay sleeping by comfort him that he's told Videl is he's loved her all in the most of his life and heart. While everyone presumes Gohan dead, she's the only one who is convinced that he still lives, somehow sensing that fact this is actually true, Gohan is in the Sacred World of the Kais training hard with Kibito and Supreme Kai like Kayla and her ancestors did. A day later, when Super Buu attacks Kami's Lookout looking for the fighter Goku promised him and marry Kayla as his new wife, Piccolo manages to persuade him to wait by telling him that Videl is Mr. Satan's daughter and Jimmy is Videl's older brother; both herself and Nathaniel stopped Jimmy tries to fight Super Buu after he's has been mocked and taunted by Super Buu about threaten his daughter by taking Kayla as his bride and later explaining to Videl that Mr. Satan nearly succeeded in convincing Buu to change his ways, only for his work to be undone by two bandits who shot at him and Majin Buu. When she's find out that her niece, Melissa has ran away with Kelly and other belongings include Kaylah's diary and magic mirror down towards Earth to find her mother for escape from the wrath of Super Buu. Ultimately, when Gotenks fails to stop Buu, she, along with everyone else at the lookout, is turned into chocolate and eaten.
The Final battle[]

In an anime-exclusive filler only, she ends up in heaven and searches for Gohan, along with Dabura, Chi-Chi, Amelia, Danielle and Bulma, but they cannot find him. However, even though she is dead, Videl is convinced that Gohan is still alive. This commitment to Gohan convinces the once evil Dabura that he is in the presence of true love, a feeling he never knew before, which embarrasses Videl since Chi-Chi is present. She doesn't know that Gohan passes away when Kid Buu annihilates Earth. After both she and Gohan come back to life and they meet again, Videl is happy at seeing 'the idiot' again that saying that she has been worried sick about him. Videl is embarrassed by hearing her father getting the people of Earth to give energy so he could beat Buu.
When Goku and the others return, she spots and happily greets her father Mr. Satan who happily embraces her and brings new guests the dog Bee and Good Buu who Videl is shocked to see until her father explains he is now on their side.
Later, she becomes Gohan's partner in fighting crime as the Great Saiyaman II (alternately known as Saiyawoman or Saiyagirl), sporting a similar outfit and participating in the same poses she earlier found ridiculous.
Afterwards, Mr. Satan decides to let Gohan date Videl, since Gohan is clearly stronger than him, and he owes him for taking the credit of defeating Cell. For a while, Videl fights criminals alongside Gohan as Saiyaman 2, or Saiyawoman. Videl becomes closer with Gohan's family over time, and they see each other so much it seems like they are family, despite the fact that Gohan and Videl have not married. A few years after the Buu incident, Videl and Gohan finally get married, having a daughter named Pan, meeting again with her niece: Melissa (she's now sixteen years old teenager) and new nephew: Tommy and Mr. Satan helps build a house for them to live in.

Two years after the defeat of Kid Buu, she's now 19 years old, Videl attends a banquet held by her father Mr. Satan, along with Gohan and her friends. Soon, she and the others meet Vegeta's younger brother Tarble and his wife Gure. Videl later watches Trunks, Melissa and Goten fighting against Avo and Cado, as well as Goku defeating the fusion of Avo and Cado, Aka.

Videl was in a quest for collecting the Dragon Balls, along with Goten, Melissa and Trunks. At that time only the four-star ball was remaining and the rest of them were in the bag, when a tiff occurs between Videl and Trunks for collecting the last Dragon Ball. This results in them losing the Dragon Ball, amidst a flock of birds. They start searching for the ball and as usual Goten and Trunks start to feel hungry. So Videl, Melissa and the half-Saiyans were forced to rest in a village nearby. Videl, on reaching the village, comes to know that a girl was going to be sacrificed that day, as a treat to a local beast which has terrorized the village. So, she and the half-Saiyan duo take matters in their hands and decide to go after the beast themselves. Goten, Melissa and Trunks defeated the beast, a dinosaur, with little effort (with Videl being in such shock at how the kids easily took out the dinosaur that she barely declared the need to sit down and accidentally slipped on the ice) with little effort and the three enjoyed a huge banquet at the village.

The next day, Videl hears a yell and rushes to the seaside spot. There, she finds Broly, who has come to the village for taking revenge against Goku. She gives a lone fight as Goten, Melissa and Trunks were fast asleep, but is easily defeated by the Super Saiyan. She is left unconscious in the reservoir, half drowned. Later, when she gains consciousness, she finds Gohan fighting with Broly and the former asks her to stay clear, as there was a lot of danger around and was pleased that she was alive. When Broly delivers a huge blast, all the fighters except Gohan become unconscious. When Videl gains her consciousness she throws the piece of crystal that she has collected towards Legendary Super Saiyan Broly in an effort to distract him and let Gohan gain an upper hand. However, the effort from throwing the crystal saps her of her reserve energy and she loses consciousness afterwards. She then meets Gohan at the end complaining why he hadn't helped her when she was drowning, which starts a petty telling off at Gohan, concluding the story with Trunks' sentence "This is the way they communicate".
Fusion Reborn[]

Videl appears in Fusion Reborn, initially, at Gohan's home, helping Chi-Chi with the dishes, when she is called by the police to help them clean the mess in the city. They go to the city to witness that they are being encroached by the living dead. Goten, Melissa and Trunks collect the Dragon Balls in the meantime and a wish is made to Shenron to restore natural order, which is not granted. Gohan, Jimmy, Kayla and Videl together as a team keep the people safe from the zombies, Frieza and past villains, while Goten, Melissa and Trunks team up to defeat The Dictator. Videl and Gohan, after finishing their assignment, go to some unknown place. Later, they are shown in the end, when the half-Saiyan duo tells them that they have been spying on them all the time, and they saw Gohan and Videl kissing each other. Gohan and Videl are both shocked and embarrassed to know this and Gohan pleads not to tell this to his mom, giving a humorous ending to the movie (this ending is exclusive to the Funimation Dub).
Wrath of the Dragon[]

Videl and Gohan simultaneously enter the class after thrashing some goons in the city, when Videl gets a call from the police that a man (Hoi) was threatening to jump. Gohan and Videl immediately go to rescue the man, who is very arrogant, and jumps when Videl loses her temper. Gohan, however, rescues him and takes him to some fountain park. There, the man introduces himself as Hoi, and asks Gohan to help him open a music box which has imprisoned Tapion, a hero from the South Galaxy. Gohan and Videl try in vain to open it and hence start to find the Dragon Balls to wish Shenron himself to open it. Due to this, Tapion was released and Hoi started behaving differently, which clearly caught the eye of Videl. Later, that day, a huge monster (the lower part of Hirudegarn), starts destroying the city. When Gohan and Videl come to know about this, they quickly commission themselves in order to save the city. Here they find a monster nearly twenty stories high, threatening the entire city. Gohan and Videl start fighting with the monster and Gohan is forced to unleash his Unlocked Potential form, to fight with the monster. He defeats the monster with relative ease, when he finds that it's vulnerable the moment after it attacks. The monster vanishes out of nowhere and Videl quickly catches some movement in the top of the building. Gohan determines that as Hoi and comes to know that he was the man behind all these series of events. Later, Videl is shown fighting the fully-developed Hirudegarn, which defeats her with little effort.

Ten years later after the deaths of Super Buu and Kid Buu, Videl eventually marries Gohan, to become a housewife, giving birth to a daughter named Pan and seeing her older brother, Jimmy have been married to Kayla, saw her 16-year-old teenage niece Melissa as a sixteen years old teenager with her new haircut and meeting her five-year-old nephew named Tommy. She attends the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament to cheer on her family at the end of the Dragon Ball Z series.

The Evil Parasite, Baby[]

In the Baby Saga, she and her husband get possessed by Baby. Videl noticed on the New Planet Plant that Pan was helping others to become normal. Videl kicked Pan out of the air, demanding that she stopped with such actions, and to become one of Baby's underlings. Videl and Gohan almost killed their own daughter, since Baby ordered them to, but Uub, Melissa, Michelle and Tommy intercepted and saved Pan. Videl is cured with the Sacred Water.
The Ultimate Android, Super 17[]

During the battle against Super 17, she wants to fight along with the Z Fighters (wearing her Great Saiyawoman outfit no less); however, by the time she gets there, Goku and Android 18 have done the job already.
The Evil Shadow Dragons[]

With her family and friends, Videl witnesses Black Smoke Shenron emerging from the Dragon Balls and she much afterwards learns of the overusage of the Dragon Balls. She remains at Capsule Corporation while Goku, Pan and Giru fight against the seven evil Shadow Dragons. She then returns to her home with her husband Gohan, and later joins her family and friends as they face the final Shadow Dragon, Syn Shenron. In the end, she has no fights against the Shadow Dragons. After the defeat of all the Shadow Dragons, she lives in peace with Gohan and Pan at Mount Paozu. By the end of the series, she has likely died of old age as her daughter Pan, who is shown to have a grandson, is the last surviving Z Fighter 100 years later.

Unlike other fighters, who have a balanced mix of physical and energy-based techniques, Videl uses only pure physical attacks. According to Gohan, she had already surpassed her father even before she began learning to use ki. Though she is capable of using basic Ki Blasts after Gohan trained her, she has little control over them. Her fighting style is to wait for her opponent to attack, and then use their own strength against them in a dodge or counter, playing on their momentum.
Despite being powerful by humans standards, and possessing some degree of enhanced strength relative to normal people, like her father, Videl has not trained to the degree of the Z Warriors, and is not even near Krillin, her older brother, Jimmy, Yamcha or Master Roshi's level (all four of which are entirely human). As proof of this, Videl cannot tolerate high-speed flight, and a single bullet is capable of inflicting heavy damage, if not lethal, depending on the area shot.

In Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming, Videl manages to put up a decent fight against Super Saiyan Broly, though she is ultimately no match for the Super Saiyan and is knocked unconscious and she was no match for Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan form, though like Krillin she managed to survived her encounter with the Legendary Super Saiyan.
In Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, she and Great Saiyaman work together to deal with the zombies invading Earth due to Janemba's actions in Other World. However it should be noted most of the undead were weak enough that even her father had little trouble fighting them.
As Great Saiyawoman, Videl is capable of working in coordination with Great Saiyaman to combat criminals and threats as shown in Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon however she is no match for more powerful entities like Hirudegarn.

In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, during the Fusion Reborn story, Gohan believes Videl to be strong enough to aid him in battle against Cui and Salza, without any worry that she may be hurt.
In the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series, Videl's ki Blasts fizzle out over short distances and, when charged, merely fly around in random directions.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Videl's ability to use Ki Blast is better, as she can fire standard ki blasts, chargeable ki blasts, and is capable of performing the Energy Barrage techniques, Consecutive Energy Blast as a Super Skill and Full Power Energy Blast Volley as an Ultimate Skill.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Videl is shown to be finally capable of firing an Energy Wave, in the form of a Full Power Energy Wave which appears as one of her Ultimate Skills in her Natade Village Traditional Costume 1 Skillset. However despite this newfound ability as well as her ability to fire standard ki blasts, she is one of the few characters in Xenoverse 2 who cannot perform a Charged Ki Blast (a new gameplay mechanic in Xenoverse 2 that lets characters fire chargeable ki blasts), indicating her ki manipulation abilities are still far from perfect in Xenoverse 2.
In Dragon Ball Fusions, Videl (as Great Saiyaman 2) is capable of performing powerful ki based techniques originally used by her daughter Pan, such as Maiden Burst and Maiden Blast.

- Flight – The power to levitate and fly with the use of ki. Taught to her by Gohan after she blackmailed him in to teaching her to fly though she can't handle high-speed flying.
- Afterimage Technique - A movement technique where the user moves so fast they leave behind an afterimage of themself. Use by Videl and her alter-ego Great Saiyaman 2 as a Super Skill in Dragon Ball Xenoverse. In Xenoverse 2, it is exclusive to Videl.
- Afterimage Strike – One of Videl's Blast 1 in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and the Raging Blast series. Also used as Great Saiyawoman.
- Ki Blast – The most basic form of ki attack. Used in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and the Raging Blast series, and Xenoverse series. In Dragon Ball Fusions, Videl is classified as a Speed type which causes her basic Ki Blast to take the form of an Energy Wave fired straight forward. As a Speed type she is strong against Power types, but weaker against Technique types.
- Ki Sense - is an ability that allows the user to sense ki and power levels. Videl learning this technique from Gohan that she's sensing Goku's Super Saiyan 3 and ten years after the defeat of Kid Buu.
- Energy Shot - A chargeable Ki Blast Super Skill used by Videl in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.verse.
- Consecutive Energy Blast - An Energy Barrage technique used by Videl and her alter-ego Great Saiyaman 2 as a Super Skill in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
- Full Power Energy Blast Volley - A stronger Energy Barrage technique used by Videl and her alter-ego Great Saiyaman 2 as a Ultimate Skill in the Xenoverse series.

- Volteks Aura – Videl creates a clear energy sphere that hits her opponent at close range. Videl once created a similar energy sphere while Gohan was teaching her how to manipulate ki. Named and used in Super Dragon Ball Z.
- Falcon Rush – A High Speed Rush used when she thought that the Great Saiyaman had kidnapped Chobi. It was named in the Budokai series, and is also one of her Blast 2 in the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

- Leopard Shoot – Videl kicks the opponent up in the air, then she punches and kicks them down, and finally Videl double punches her opponent in the back when he is down. Used in the Budokai series.

Videl as the Great Saiyawoman
Great Saiyawoman (グレートサイヤマン２号, Great Saiyaman 2) is Videl's alter ego. After she discovered Great Saiyaman's true identity (Gohan) and obliged him to enter in the World Martial Arts Tournament, Videl began using a similar costume to fight criminals. Her very first appearance as as the Great Saiyawoman is near the end of Dragon Ball Z, in the episode "Celebrations with Majin Buu". Videl also appears as Great Saiyawoman in Wrath of the Dragon and in Dragon Ball GT.
Super Saiyan-esque form[]

During the Super Saiyan God ritual in the Dragon Ball Super anime, Videl's hair turns gold whilst the ritual is underway, thanks to Pan's influence.

Videl is the supportive players in the video games appearances include she's appears during the ending sequence of Goku and Mr. Satan in the arcade game Dragon Ball Z 2: Super Battle. She also appears in cut scenes in Dragon Ball Z: Idainaru Son Goku Densetsu.
Videl in Budokai 3
Videl has been a playable character in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, Super Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z: Bakuretsu Impact, Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team, the Raging Blast series, and Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden. She is playable in her base form with her Great Saiyawoman costume and moveset as a transformation in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, as well as Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, Dragon Ball Z: Dragon Battlers, and Dragon Ball Heroes with Great Saiyawoman as a different character (her super attacks as Great Saiyawoman are the same as Videl, just with 'Justice' names instead. Her ultimates are not the same). In Budokai 3, if the ki blast button is pressed, Videl does not shoot ki blasts but will kick her opponent (the ki blast button can be held for Videl to charge up her kick).
Videl in Zenkai Battle Royale
Videl is playable in Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury for only one fight. She also appears in Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors, Dragon Ball GT: Transformation, Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, but not as a playable character. Videl also appears in the arcade game Dragon Ball Z: W Bakuretsu Impact.
She is also playable in Dragon Ball Xenoverse, with her Great Saiyaman 2 clothes, her Natade Village clothes from Broly: The Second Coming, and her Buu Saga clothes as alternate outfits. She is also capable of using basic Ki Blasts, chargeable Ki Blasts, and Energy Barragetechniques such as Consecutive Energy Blast and Full Power Energy Blast Volley. She can even use some of her father's techniques such as Dynamite Kick, Rolling Hercule Punch, and Miracle Knee!. Her World Tournament hairstyle also appears as a custom hair option for female Saiyans and Earthlings. Her Tournament Training outfit also appears as a clothing option under the name Videl's Clothes (which interestingly can be worn by both males and females). In the sequel she is capable of using Full Power Energy Wave in her Natade Village Traditional Costume 1 skillset. In addition to her pigtails outfit (High School T-shirt), Natade Village Costumes 1 & 2, and her Tournament Outfit (Training T-shirt) from Xenoverse, her "Fight" shirt appears in Xenoverse 2 as alternate costume skillset under the name Fight T-shirt (interestingly Videl wore the Fight T-shirt in cutscenes following Kid Buu's defeat in Xenoverse). Unlike in Xenoverse, Videl's alter-ego Great Saiyaman 2 acts as a separate playable character from Videl and is no longer just an alternate costume skillset for Videl. Though she her ki control is depicted as being far better in Xenoverse 2, Videl/Great Saiyaman 2 is incapable of firing Charged Ki Blasts (and thus she lacks a default Ki Blast Type entirely). Additionally, Pan will also state that her mother taught her the Justice Rush when performing the skill. In both Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2, she and Gohan train the each game's respective Future Warrior (custom protagonist) together as a team, making them unique among the selectable masters in both games. Interestingly, despite training them as a team, most of the skills they teach are actually Videl's (with the exception of Gohan's Ki Blast Cannon skill in Xenoverse). In Xenoverse 2, all the skills taught by Gohan & Videl are Videl's skills.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, her 25th World Tournament and Buu Saga hairstyle appears as Custom Hair Option Type 5 for female Saiyans and Earthlings. Her bob hairstyle from the 28th World Tournament at the end of Dragon Ball Z appears as Custom Hair Option Type 14 for female Saiyans and Earthlings. Her pigtails hairstyle appears as Custom Hair Option Type 28 for female Saiyans and Earthlings. If the Future Warrior (Xenoverse 2) is an Earthling, they will start the game investigating the Time Rift anomaly around Satan House and will spot Great Saiyaman and Great Saiyaman 2 practicing their poses. After Gohan performs his Justice Pose he tells Videl to pose, but she is reluctant to due to her finding it embarrassing and pointless, though Great Saiyaman manages to convince her to pose which she nails first try according to Gohan. She also finds that posing felt pretty good and becomes more enthusiastic about posing. The Future Warrior can return later and join Jaco, Saiyaman 1, & Saiyaman 2 in defending Earth from evil. Videl's Fight T-shirt appears as a clothing option under the name Videl T-shirt while her High School T-shirt appears as a clothing option under the name Orange Star High School T-shirt both of which can be worn regardless of gender or race. Videl's Clothes also return as an obtainable outfit. Videl's version of the Great Saiyaman Suit appears when the suit and Great Saiyaman Helmet are worn by female characters (Earthling, Saiyan, and Majin). The description of the Great Saiyaman Helmet refers to the helmet worn by Videl as Design 2and states that Design 2 is "for girls". Additionally Videl has special dialog with Future Gohan in which Future Gohan asks who she is, with Videl responding by asking if he is Gohan. Great Saiyaman 2 also has special dialog in which she asks if he is Gohan while him responding that he is but states he doesn't know her. Both of Future Gohan's reactions indicating that he has likely never encountered either Videl, Great Saiyaman 2, or Future Videl. Mr. Satan will wonder about the fate of her counterpart from the alternate Future timeline, if the Warrior speaks to him while training under Future Gohan as part of the Masters Pack DLC.[10] After the 1.09.00 Update, Videl gains a customizable skillset in Partner Customization, though the Future Warrior must have competed her and Adult Gohan's Initiation Test first. This skillset allows Videl's skills, outfit color, stats, and Super Souls be customized. This skillset is unique as it allows her to be equipped with certain skills such as Kamehameha, Dancing Parapara, Prepare to be Punished, and Maiden Blast though some skills must be unlocked first by spending TP Medals. The Future Warrior can also learn Videl's DUAL Ultimate Skill via speaking to her and Gohan after reaching max friendship with Videl and Adult Gohan. The warrior finds Videl and Gohan strategizing to better coordinate there attacks though they are having trouble working out how to do it with three people so they decide it would be best to pair up into teams of two. As a result the warrior learns DUAL Justice Combination from Videl and DUAL Super Kamehameha (Adult Gohan) from Adult Gohan.[8]
In Dragon Ball Fusions, both Videl and Great Saiyaman 2 appear as separate playable characters. In this game Videl can use EX-Fusion to fuse with her daughter Pan to create Pandel, while her Great Saiyaman 2 incarnation can fuse with Great Saiyaman to create Great Saiyaman 12.

Videl's car in the eyecatch for the World Tournament Saga
- Videl's car, seen in the introduction, has "666" written on the side of it, in further relation to the Satanic references (her name being an anagram for "Devil" and her father's name being Mr. Satan).
- In the episode "Blackmail", both Gohan and Bulma referred to her as Videl Satan, however in the Super Exciting Guide, Akira Toriyama states that "Mr. Satan" is actually a ringname for her father.
- During the World Martial Arts Tournament, when the spectators are shown cheering, there is a sign nearby, saying "Bidel" with a "B" instead of a "V". To make further mistakes, in later episodes, another sign is shown, saying "Beedel".
- In the 1990s edition of the Spanish manga, her name is written as "Biddle".
- Videl and her mother-in-law Chi-Chi have a couple of things in common with each other. Both are powerful Martial Artists (though not as strong as their husbands or children) who have fought in the World Tournament, and at some point both were raised by their wealthy fathers and mothers never appears in the manga and anime series.
- Videl has the distinction of being first World Martial Arts Tournament Junior Division champion. This makes her the only known female Martial Arts Champion of any tournament (or division).
- Despite her and her father's names, being based off Satanic traits, the two are quite heroic and love justice, which was a factor that lead Videl to heaven during the Buu Saga filler.
- Both Goten and Videl share the same voice actresses in the English dub by Funimation and the French dub.
- Both Alyson and Videl share the same voice actresses of Kari Wahlgren as Kid Alyson, Alyson as preteen, and Kid Videl and Videl as a preteen in Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga and Cell Saga in the English dub by Funimation and the French dub.
- Videl have Kayla as her twin friend and sister-in-law.
- Videl has the older brother, Jimmy, who's born in Age 756 and a year older than Videl.

- There are slight differences to Videl's fight with Spopovich in the manga:
- When he blasts her to the ground, instead of an energy wave, no beam appeared, appearing to have been Kiai instead.
- Also, when Spopovich knees her to the face, some of Videl's teeth were knocked out (fortunately the Senzu Bean Gohan gives her after the match heals her, restoring the teeth she lost), whereas they stayed intact in the anime.
- Videl is born in Age 756 (according to the manga) and Age 757 (according to Super Perfect Guide anime for the anime).
- Videl is one year older than Gohan in the manga, meaning that she was at least 18 years old in her debut (and already a legal adult at that time) and 28 at the end of the original story, but is the same age as him in the anime.
- It should be noted however that Gohan is physically one year older than he should be due to spending a year training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber thus they would both be physically the same age even in the manga due to the time differential allowing Gohan to leap ahead in age by one year. Thus the anime would be accurate based on their physical ages and may have even taken that fact into account.
- In World Mission, the Hero Stadium clerk Moden resembles Videl and has the same pigtail hairstyle as Videl before she cut her hair. Additionally, Moden secretly owns a Great Saiyaman Suit like the one worn by Great Saiyaman 3, which is similar to Videl who wears a variation of Gohan's Great Saiyaman Suit as Great Saiyaman 2. It is unknown if Moden is related to Videl (like Beat who is a descendant of Goku in World Mission) or just resembles her as several of Hero Town's inhabitants resemble Dragon Ball characters.
- In Dragon Ball FighterZ, if you select Videl on the Character Select screen while holding L1/LB/L or L2/LT/ZL, you will unlock an alternate costume with her pigtails (with Great Saiyaman getting his helmet), making Videl the only character in the game with an alternate costume.
- Videl's character design is purportedly based off of "Fasha" (Vasha/Seripa), a female Saiyan from the Bardock special movie. The child and preteen version of herself in the series during of the Cell Saga did appears in the manga and anime series. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, her attitude was much more leveled off; her temperament from earlier episodes softened considerably.
